Our Board
Active Care Network is governed by a nine person Board of Directors. Every member is a thoughtful leader who has made significant contributions to our community. Each member brings a unique set of skills and expertise to our organisation.
Kevin Richards - President
Kevin is a retired, senior manager in the manufacturing sector. Kevin volunteers with Mid Mountains Men’s Shed and is a digital mentor to seniors for LEEP.
Kevin has been a Director of Active Care Network since 2009 and has held a range of positions. Kevin is a resident of the Blue Mountains.
Mitchell Beggs-Mowczan - Vice President
Mitchell is the Aboriginal Liaison Officer at the Nepean Blue Mountains Primary Health Network. He has worked in Aboriginal health for over 12 years, with the Closing the Gap program. Mitchell is a resident of the Penrith LGA.
Michael Howard - Treasurer
Michael holds the position of Treasurer and is a Senior Finance and Strategy Manager in the Commonwealth Bank. He has over 20 years' experience in finance, business planning, analytics and strategy roles within large organizations (including CBA, Woolworths and Spotless) and has MBA and CPA certifications. He has been on the board since 2013 (originally with Blacktown Community Transport / Easy Go Connect) and is also active in several junior sports clubs in the local area in committee and coaching capacities.
Anne Hurni - Secretary
Anne is Research and Partnerships officer at Penrith City Council. She has had a longstanding interest in transport and mobility in Western Sydney. Anne has worked at Transport for NSW in the social policy team.

Frank Ross - Board Member
Frank is a retired Paediatric Nurse Consultant who has specialised in Paediatric Trauma Management for the past 25 years. He has been involved in many trauma research studies. He also has had senior board involvement in the registration process for nurses across Australia an NSW.
